Covid-19 Guidance

For the safety of all those who use our hall, we are following the Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) interpretation of the Government’s latest guidance for keeping community building users safe in our Supplemental Terms and Conditions of Hire during Covid-19

We welcome hire enquiries from everyone
The hall is available for private, one-off bookings, open events  and regular repeat bookings for classes, clubs and societies including…
    ●  Parties for young, seniors and those in between
    ●  Wedding receptions
    ●  Events like quiz nights
    ●  Classes like dancing, crafts, learning a language, exercise or self-defence.

So whether you’re looking to hire the hall, with its fitted kitchen and facilities, tables and chairs (with or without heating) or simply to hire our tables & chairs for an event to be held elsewhere, our flexible approach makes us easy to work with.   Which is why we’ve put everything right here in one place.

Local hire rates
Knapton Village Hall is supported by its community so preferential rates are offered to village residents and organisations.

Single or block bookings
You can apply to book just one session or block book multiple days and sessions.   However please note that we may ask for a non-returnable deposit for all sessions / days booked in advance because once booked, those sessions or days will be not be available to anyone else should you subsequently cancel them.

Security Deposit
A security deposit of £100 against damage or the hall being left in an unacceptable state may be required at the discretion of the Booking Secretary. This will be refundable after inspection to ensure that the conditions of hiring have been observed.

Covid Risk Assessment
We have provided this form to assist hirers to complete a Covid risk assessment for their own event, as per section 2 of our Covid Supplemental T&Cs of Hire (above) and as required as part of the Booking Form declaration.

How to enquire

You can either download a Booking Formcomplete it and return it to us, or you can fill in our On-line Booking Form
Either way, as soon as our Booking Secretary receives it, they will check availability and come back to you, usually same day or next

Please remember that the Booking Form does not guarantee your booking and that we may ask more about your event if we feel it necessary

Bookable Sessions

Morning:      9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Afternoon:   1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Evening:       5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Returnable Deposits

Security Deposit | returnable
£100 per hire
Taken and held as security against loss or damage, depending on the intended hire purpose and length of hire

Village Hall Hire Charges per session

Local Hire | villagers & local clubs

£12.00 per session  without heating

Standard Hire | non village residents, clubs and groups
£20.00 per session  without heating

Heating | if required
Heating is charged at cost and the current rates can be obtained from our Booking Secretary

Other Village Hall Hire Charges

Other Hire | All Day events, Corporate, Commercial, Local Gov’t & Public Sector
Charges dependant on the intended hire purpose and length of hire.

Tables and Chairs Hire Charges

Tables & Chairs  |  period & returnable security deposit to be agreed
Tables  £20 any or all available
Chairs  £1 per chair

    If you intend to sell alcohol during your event, then at least 10 days before your event you must apply to North Norfolk District Council and pay for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN). This is obtained from https:www.north-norfolk.gov.uk and by putting Temporary Event Notice into the search box. Our Hall Booking Secretary must be informed when you receive the licence and it must be displayed during the event.
