The Knapton Village Hall
Access into the hall is via a ramp at the main entrance at the rear of the building. Wheelchair users can enjoy free movement once inside.
The Hall has plenty of tables & chairs. The fully fitted kitchen complete with cups, plates and cutlery can be included free of charge within a hire, simply let us know you’d like to use it. There are also the newly refurbished male/female WCs.
Under normal conditions our hall can accommodate up to 50 persons comfortably. However, numbers may have to be reduced subject to the type of event being held and whether or not Covid restrictions or our Supplemental T&Cs need to be applied.
There is a set of wide doors in the main hall bordering Hall Lane which allows for the easy loading and unloading of large items straight into the main hall from the road.
The new Village Car Park is just across the road from the Hall, complete with bike racks and disabled parking bays. Parking is free and is available to all users of the Village Hall. Overnight parking requires a Permit prior to parking. You can find out more here.
Accessing the car park
Cars, vans and pedestrians can access the car park via School Close. There is also separate pedestrian access on the Hall Lane side of the car park, just across the road from the hall.

In April 2017 a questionnaire was sent to every home in Knapton canvassing opinion of the Village Hall and its relevance in today’s village life. Of those that replied;
- 91% said they felt that the Village Hall was important
- 86% said that they would use it more if it had modern facilities
As a result, the Village Hall Committee together with the church (who own the building) have embarked on a programme of improvements, recently completing a makeover of the main hall and a full refurbishment of the kitchen, with further enhancements planned.
