Knapton’s Women’s Own provides a varied program of events and activities for women of all ages and denominations. We do not charge a membership fee, but each month we have a voluntary collection and a raffle.
Members choose a charity to support each year and we raise funds via our raffles and our main fundraiser of the year, ourStrawberry Tea, which is held on the first Tuesday afternoon in July. It is a fun afternoon which is always well supported by Knapton residents and friends of Women’s Own.
If you would like to give Knapton Women’s Own a try, we would love to welcome you to our happy group, so come along to one of our meetings or contact our President, Jill Emmson01263 721439for details.

For over 30 years, up to the early 1990’s, the band of bell ringers was lead by former resident Andrew Lubbock, who in his time taught many locals to ring, including all his family. The band is now lead by his son who is also calledAndrew and lives in the village.
The current band is always looking for new recruits to continue part of Britain’s fine heritage by preserving an art which dates back hundreds of years. If you’d like to know more about the bells, or bell ringing, you’re most welcome to come along to anypractice.
