Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding is about protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect.
There is a strong public expectation on public bodies to ensure that they are doing all they can to protect the most vulnerable members of our society. Every Town and Parish Council has a statutory duty to ensure that they have effective and robust safeguarding arrangements in place because everybody has the right to be safe no matter who they are or what their circumstances.
Safeguarding is also an essential part of the risk assessment element of annual audits.
