Recycling Centres & Recycling Banks

Norfolk County Council provides two Recycling Centres within easy reach of our village.
Worsted Recycling Centre is just the other side of North Walsham whilst Sheringham Recycling Centre is a twenty minute car journey.

Compost is available for purchase at both recycling centres, for £3.50 a bag which are hand-filled to approximately 40 litres.
You can pay with cash (up to £10), credit and debit card (chip and pin and contactless).

Easy to Use

NCCs recycling centres are organised using separate containers for different materials, so there are specific bins for cardboard, scrap metal, timber, garden waste etc.

Staff will help you, if asked, to find the right place to put your waste but they are not obliged to lift items.   They may also offer advice which must be followed for health and safety reasons.

All the centres have wide access and no barriers, so any domestic car, van, trailer etc. will be able to gain access and can usually get within two metres of the containers.

For safety, children should be kept in your vehicle while you are at the recycling centre and you should wear suitable clothing, footwear and gloves when visiting the site.

Assistance dogs are permitted at both sites.

Directions
Located about two miles south of North Walsham.

Leave North Walsham at the Lidl mini-roundabout and take the old A149 heading south. Pass the touring park on left then a hotel on right, then turn next right at the nursery/plant centre. Follow this road up the hill and the recycling centre is immediately at top, through metal gates.
The recycling centre is well signposted from the new A149 from the south.

Sheringham Recycling Centre

Directions
Located off the A148 Cromer-Holt Road.

From Cromer; take the A148 west, site is about one mile on the right after the Roman Camp pub.
From Sheringham; leave Sheringham by the A1082 heading south from the mini-roundabout. Turn left onto the A148 towards Cromer and get to the recycling centre via lay-by off A148.   The recycling centre is signposted from the A148.
