We take security of your data very seriously and as such we are already General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant.

So, what does this mean to you?
Data security is paramount, and we plan extensively to ensure that we protect your data.

What do we store and how do we store it?
The private information that we store is:

  • Your name
  • Your home address
  • Your contact phone number
  • Your email address

We protect this information with the latest encryption software and all data stored is encrypted at rest.

What do we do with your data?
Firstly, we won’t sell your private information to marketing companies or share it with any company.

We will share it with the guys from Knapton News, so that we can help to make sure everyone in the village gets a copy.
And we will also share it between the Parish Council and the Village Hall committee, so that we can make sure every member of the village is;

  • kept up to date with village affairs
  • consulted on issues which may affect them or their home
  • invited to village events and celebrations

We will ask you if it’s ok to store your details.   If you decline, we won’t be able to contact you unless you tell us to.

Who owns the data?
You own your data.

Can I have it removed?
Yes.   Simply email our Parish Clerk with your request.
