Knapton’s Local Clubs
Coffee Club
Knapton Coffee Club gives villagers a great place to meet and chat over a range of teas and coffee, accompanied by biscuits and the occasional home-made cake.
We have all ages dropping in from one of the youngest to the more senior members of our community. Some stay from 10 to 12.30 and others just drop in for half an hour.
Everyone is welcome at the Coffee Club so why not join us, we’d love to see you.

Women's Own
Knapton’s Women’s Own provides a varied program of events and activities for women of all ages and denominations. We do not charge a membership fee, but each month we have a voluntary collection and a raffle.
Members choose a charity to support each year and we raise funds via our raffles and our main fundraiser of the year, our Strawberry Tea, which is held on the first Tuesday afternoon in July. It is a fun afternoon which is always well supported by Knapton residents and friends of Women’s Own.
If you would like to give Knapton Women’s Own a try, we would love to welcome you to our happy group, so come along to one of our meetings or contact our President, Jill Emms on 01263 721439 for details.

Bell Ringing
For over 30 years, up to the early 1990’s, the band of bell ringers was lead by former resident Andrew Lubbock, who in his time taught many locals to ring, including all his family. The band is now lead by his son who is also called Andrew and lives in the village.
The current band is always looking for new recruits to continue part of Britain’s fine heritage by preserving an art which dates back hundreds of years. If you’d like to know more about the bells, or bell ringing, you’re most welcome to come along to any practice. These are usually held every 1st, 3rd and 5th Monday of the month at 7:30pm or you can email Andrew at
