Knapton Village Defibrillator
A defibrillator has been installed outside the rear entrance of the village hall and is accessible 24/7/365.
We are waiting for the installation to be completed and then we will arrange two free training sessions (one in the afternoon and one in the evening) on how to use it, for all residents of the parish. Once date have been agreed we will let every resident know to make sure everyone knows what to do. We will also circulate instructions and other useful information.
Once installation has been completed, if you suspect someone is having a heart attack, dial 999 for emergency help and ask for the code for opening the defibrillator box. You will need to give the village name, Knapton, and the village hall postcode NR28 0RZ. If possible, send someone for the defibrillator whilst you stay with the person in case CPR is needed.
This is an excellent example of the Village Hall committee, the church (who own the village hall) and the Parish Council working together for the good of the village.
